Brewers vs. Cardinals in St. Louis with Foley

After spending a few hours at the Morgan Street Brewery we decided to go to another bar that had a livelier atmosphere. There was nothing wrong with Morgan Street Brewery, but we came here to meet girls and dance and we need a hipper scene to do that.

Foley likes to snap pictures of people when they aren't paying attention. Luckily my senses are as quick as my wit and I was able to look at the camera and give Foley a thumbs up. Dan wouldn't so fast as to respond in time. So he just sat there with a clueless look.

Dave left to go meet Mark and bring him back here (which I thought was weird because Mark supposedly knew where everything was in this town) so Dan and I were left alone. There was a lot of awkward silence because I didn't know him and we had nothing to talk about.

The beer was decently priced and tasted pretty damn good. And I thought that St. Louis only had awful rice beer made by those evil folks over at Budweiser. Which goes to show that you can't judge a city by it's beer until you've tasted the entire repertoire.

We went down to an area known as Laclede's Landing which was the old business district right along the river. All of the buildings were huge brick warehouses and the streets were narrow and lined with cobblestones. After the city crew and the businesses moved elsewhere, they could have let this joint deteriorate. But instead they turned it into a night hot spot comparable to our Water Street in Milwaukee. This is where we would spend our night celebrating the Brewers victory. The first place that we stopped was The Morgan Street Brewery to try some microbrew. You probably know by know that I'm a huge fan of local beer. It was a nice little brewery and the beer was pretty good too.

The street is closed to vehicular traffic so there is a ton of foot traffic walking around. We saw this group of Brewers fans passing in front of the bar so I ran outside to give them all high fives. Then while I was outside Foley came to the window to see what the commotion was all about and then these guys went wild and started banging on the glass. It was pretty hyped because the Brewers so far had won 2 out of 3.
