Brewers vs. Cardinals in St. Louis with Foley |
Foley wasn't sure what he wanted to eat. There were way too many choices and not enough dollars (or a big enough stomach to handle them all) to try one of everything. I'm sure that he eventually ended up grabbing something but we didn't stay too long. Besides the eating there really wasn't much else to do at this joint. That sounds exactly like every other Midwest festival that I've ever been to. |
This picture was taken by someone and submitted to the website JoeSportsFan.com. Here is a link to the article in which the picture appeared. Basically the author made fun of me for wearing a personalized jersey. My friends ganged up on him in the comments section of the article, but I took it all in stride. If you can't laugh at yourself, then who the hell can you laugh at? It was all in good fun. |
But just because I was saving a couple of bucks doesn't mean that I had to like it. We were in the most remote parking lot by a bunch of factory buildings at a dead end, and somehow another car found us. They asked Mark for directions, and he ended up having a chat with them like they were old friends. So we waited for Mark. |
The art stuff and Taste of St. Louis festival were a couple of blocks Northwest of the stadium. Mark's car was many many many blocks Southwest of the Stadium. So after leaving this area we had to walk for what seemed like forever to get to his car. But it was get a free ride back to the hotel from Mark or pay for a taxi cab ride back. I already mentioned how cheap I am, so I of course voted for the free ride. |
The ride back to the hotel took FOR-EVER. Mark said that he knew where to go so he took off driving. Then he got lost and then blamed us, like we knew where everything was in St. Louis. It was an unnecessarily long car ride, and when we got back to the hotel I needed to swim in the big pool and relax in the hot tub. |
Since we didn't have anything better to do with our time (it was a little too early to hit up the bars) we walked over to check out the Taste of St. Louis. Basically it was a food festival. All sorts of vendors set up tents to showcase their products so that people could purchase them and put the products in their mouths. I was hungry but everything was really expensive. Like ridiculously expensive. Anyone that hangs out with me on a regular basis knows that I am cheap when it comes to spending money. So I just got some garlic french fries with ketchup. |
