Brewers vs. Cardinals in St. Louis with Foley

Albert Pujols hates it when the Brewers players untuck their shirts after a victory. All that he needed to do to stop them from doing that was to beat them. And on his own field at his own ballpark in his own city, Albert Pujols failed to do that for the 3rd consecutive day. But the Brewers needed 10 innings to seal the deal and complete the sweep. Trevor Hoffman blew the save in the 9th with the Brewers up 7-6. The Brewers would eventually win 9-7 thanks to Prince Fielder's 45th and 46th homeruns of the season. And just like that, the shirts were untucked.

There's never a wrong time of the day for a PBR. Most often there is only a right time for PBR. In fact, right now was a perfect time for a PBR tallboy. So PBR me ASAP. The Brewers had won the first 2 games of the series and were going for the sweep. This trip could go from awesome to amazing with a Brewers win.

Mark brought his 1980's shower radio so that he could listen to the broadcast play by play. That thing was so old that it's a wonder that it even worked at all. When it did receive a signal it was all scratchy and week which made it very annoying to have in the area.

Ryan Braun is afraid of shadows. Not his own shadow like Punxsutawney Phil, but the shadows that creep between the pitcher's mound and home plate. But for whatever reason, he only has a problem at Miller Park. His career road versus home splits (go look them up) validate his Miller Park shadow problem.

Albert Pujols isn't afraid of anything. That's because he's one of the best baseball players of all time. He certainly has all the stats in the world to back that up but that doesn't mean that I have to like him. I don't appreciate the comments that he made about the Brewers a couple of years ago and I have yet to forgive him.

The weather was a lot better today than it was yesterday but it was still October. That promises temperatures in the 50 degree (possible 60) range but at least the sun was shining. But of course none of that would factor into our enjoyment of the game because we were once again in the shade up in the nosebleed seats. We were in virtually the same location as the previous 2 games which didn't allow for any variety. But I have sat behind homeplate on this level and in the left field bleachers, and if I had to chose one, it would be the bleachers. That's my home.

I saw two familiar faces sitting at the top of my section. Upon further review it turned out to be my friends Beth and Melissa whom I used to work with at UWM Dining Services at Pacific Wraps. I  hadn't seen them in a while then I see them here. Weird.

We woke up this morning and checked out of the hotel. While Foley was taking care of the paperwork, I hung out in the parking lot and drank a beer. We would be heading home right after the game today, so we drove over to the ballpark. We parked 2 blocks away for like $10 bucks and we were early, so we went to Paddy O's again.
