Xtreme Ice Carting 5 (Page 2)
I'll let you in on a little XIC secret: any time you see me on the ground, it's the result of a fall. But of course. What's the secret then? All of the previous falls were planned, they were staged (fake). That was until this time. The ground was covered in snow, and I could not see any part of the sidewalk. I was gliding along, just like always, when all the sudden, BAM, I was on the ground. My aching body told me that I had taken an unexpected fall, and it was unprepared to fairly compensate for the landing. Apparently I hit a crack in the sidewalk that was obscured by the snow cover, and I went down like a sack of potatoes. Fortunately, Ryan was there to take a picture.
I don't mind falling off of the Ice Cart (or dinner trays) as long as two things happen. 1 - there has to be people present to witness the event and later recall it others. And 2 - someone needs to take a picture of me in my fallen state.
The ground was covered in freshly fallen snow. I don't know if it was New Guy or Ryan who came up with this idea, but it was definitely Xtreme. They thought it would be fun to ride down this steep grass hill, and to put themselves in harm's way once again.
By this time New Guy just lost it and started doing all sorts of crazy stuff. He went ape and climbed hafway up into the tree, then jumped out into these bushes. He then freaked out, ran up the hill, climbed on top of this railing and jumped down the hill about 10 feet into another group of bushes. He was running wild like a rabid beast, but I let him. After all, what would Ice Carting be like without the Xtreme?
Ryan and New Guy discuss their plans for taking Extreme Ice Carting to the world level of competition. Actually, New Guy told Ryan about his secret for flying into bushes, and Ryan tried it out right away, and flew down the hill in the air into a grove of mangled wood.
