Trip 2005 - Golden Gate Bridge

The fine city of San Francisco from its' famous bridge. What else can you really say about a city that you haven't had a chance to experience yet? This is actually the closest that I've been to the city thus far; I don't know anything about it.

From where we are right now, it's a long walk back to solid ground. I was starting to get afraid of being up here, but then I calmed down when I realized that this bridge has been standing here for 69 years and was in no danger of collapsing.

The lovely island of Alcatraz, vacation destination for the criminally insane from 1934-1963. This posh resort has top of the line amenities and 5-star eateries. This fancy get-away has been receiving rave reviews, but even those were not enough to keep the facility open for modern guests.

Now comes the reality of Alcatraz Island. It's was bad then, and it's worse now, so bad that tourists are even trying to escape from its' boundaries. I captured the latest daring and successful escape by these tourists and their clever plan to use a sail boat to get to shore. These people will think of anything.

The sun was setting in the west, sliding down below the water line. Seeing as how were as far west as we could go without using a boat, I decided to savor this moment. Throughout my travels, I have noticed how impeccable my timing has been.

It takes a real big star to block out the most important star in our solar system. Tim is a big enough star that when he is around the sun doesn't matter anymore. You may not believe me now, but just wait until he's big and famous.

I try to copy Timmy, although do so unsuccessfully. I have the look down, but the attitude just isn't there. There is a certain type of poise and presentation that Tim brings to the table that cannot be repeated by someone who isn't Tim.

Tim mugs for the camera and shows us his money making pose. He made this pose popular during his final days at Tosa East (it was even featured in his senior pictures) and he continues to use it to draw attention to himself and to show off his funny side.
