Tim remarked that he looked like Angus Young, lead guitar player of the rock band AC/DC. Angus' trademark apparel (seen on the right) was created when he was 15 and joined the band at the insistence of his older brother Malcolm, who had just formed the band and was the rhythm guitarist. Angus' sister suggested he wear his school uniform, and it just kind of stuck.

My Aunt + Uncle own this condo/apartment in this private resort in the desert near Palm Springs.  It's pretty big and has some real nice amenities, including a pool 20 feet from their door and a golf course in their backyard. Most of the year they rent it out, but they allowed us to stay there for one night and to use their stuff. That was nice of them, don't you think so? Take a minute to let this all soak in. Family is great.

Jenny had this idea, some kind of spontaneous thought that doesn't seem as funny now that I think about it. She wanted me to take her picture while she was underwater. It's funny how things seem humorous at the time, but now it doesn't because Alcohol is no longer involved in the decision making process.

I decided that it was necessary for me to spend as much time in the pool as humanly possible, therefore I had no choice but to eat my fantastic McDonald's Sausage McMuffin while I was surrounded by chemically treated dihydrogen oxide. Talk about killing two stones at the same time with one bird.

Dad came out to catch some rays and find out just what the heck was going on with his middle children. Jenny showed him what was happening, and he instantly bought into our day of fun and way of life.

Tim came out of the house to show us what he was planning on wearing, and to also get some advice. Other than the obvious things, we were able to assist him in his wardrobe assembly for the evening's festivities.

Trip 2005 - Palm Springs Desert

I polish off another bottle of Mike's scrumptious lemonade, but take care as not to consume too much too fast. Not only did I have a wedding and reception to attend, but I also had to drive 2 hours just to get there. My Dad told me that I couldn't drive, stating that "you've had one to many" and "you've been drinking all morning." I had like 3-4 Mike's lemonades. If I could get drunk off of that, then maybe I could pay off my college loans instead of blowing it on booze. He finally agreed to let me drive, so Jenny and I got dressed at headed West. After all, Craig's wedding was the reason we were out here in the first place, so we might as well go.
