Trip 2005 - Palm Springs Desert

Last night, we arrived with enough time to stop at a liquor store (Wal-Mart in fact) to buy some Mike's Lemonade and pizza. While watching Beverly Hills Ninja and sweating like crazy (we couldn't figure out how to get the A/C working, it was like 90-something in the desert at night) we attempted to drink it all, but only managed to finish a couple. Jenny and I woke up around 7:30, decided it was too early, tried to get back to sleep, couldn't, then decided to start drinking. We brought the rest of the Mike's Lemonade and Lime drinks to the outdoor pool and swam under the influence. We weren't really drunk, just buzzed, but we had a blast. We really didn't have anything to do until 12:30 when we had to get dressed for the 3:30 wedding in Diamond Bar, a 2 hour drive away from our current location. The following is that goofy morning...

Jenny took most if not all of these pictures, simply because she felt like it and I let her. There really was no structure or order to our day, we just relaxed and let this vacation take control of the wheel. There was so much planned for the rest of the time out here, so it was nice to be able to sit back and do absolutely nothing and not have a care in the world.

There's not much else to say about the mischief and the mayhem that we caused. Tim and Sarah were kind of mad at us because we were being childish, goofing around, and basically just having a great time. Everyone else just kind of sat inside while we enjoyed the 100 degree plus weather that the desert hath bestowed upon us unfortunates.

Since it was still before 10:00 am, my Dad went and bought us all McDonald's. Nothing repels rapid intoxication more than greasy hashbrowns and mid morning swimming. My stomach defiantly welcomed this unexpected surprise, and I did a few extra laps in the pool to make up for the added calories of America's classic breakfast.
