Trip 2005 - Craig's Wedding

4 years ago, Tim and I came up with a list of the coolest people in the world (they had to be people we knew and hung out with on occasion). All of them are featured somewhere on this website in a picture like the one on the left. We decided to add Steve to that list, since he is a really cool guy to hang out with. We're definitely glad that our Dad was able to meet such sweet people out in California, because it gives us an excuse to come back here once a year to visit. It sure was great to see some old friends again. Hope I'll see them again soon...

Craig was one of the reasons we invented the list of the coolest guys we know, for he has always been so good to us. I've stayed at his house, he's taken us shopping, out to lunch, bought me beer, played tennis with me, took me to Hooters for some wings, bought me a sweatshirt, took us to the batting cages, listened to music at Summerfest with us, and many other little things that go without mention. He truly is one of the nicest and most genuine people I've ever met, and I'm so happy for him that he has found a woman to enjoy his life with.

It has been a while since these three amigos had gotten together (it has been difficult lately because my Dad Mike no longer lives in California; he's lived in Chicago for nearly a year) and they were happy to be in each other's company. Since it was Gladys' day, she got to be in the picture, but the drunk guy to the right (you can see his tux and white shirt near the end) got cut out because of creative reasons. He wouldn't listen to me when I told him that I didn't want him in my picture, so I did what I had to do and I'm not sorry about it. Scott - 1, drunk guy I don't know - 0.

The intention of this trip was to attend Craig and Gladys' wedding, so now that it was over, you think that our trip was over. Oh no no no no my friend, our trip is just beginning. Starting tomorrow we would ditch the adults and the 4 of us (Jenny, Sarah, Tim and I) would be free to do whatever we wanted, as long as we were home in 7 days. It was so nice to see Craig again, and I wish that we lived closer to each other so that we could see him more than once a year. We definitely need more time than that to hang out with our buddy. Part 1 of the trip is finished, but we move on to part 2 with a note of congratulations to Craig and Gladys - may you have many many years of happiness together and we hope to see you guys again as soon as possible.
