Trip 2005 - Craig's Wedding

This picture was taken outside of the church after the wedding. I figured that we might as well get a nice picture together as long as we took the trouble getting all dressed up. After all, our attire and attitude now was certainly different than it was this morning when we were swimming and drinking...

This was taken from on top of the mountain. Out there, where that road leads to nowhere, that is where we were while trying to find the church. We started driving, then were like, "this doesn't look like a church" so we turned around. Eventually we got there, and gladly took part in the union of our bud Craig to the lovely Gladys.

On the left is what the reception hall looked like from the outside. To the right, the view from the top of the mountain. It was a great place to hold a reception, and the true beauty of it all only added to this wonderful ceremony of life.

Sometimes I have visions of good pictures, and I realize that my calling was to be a photographer. Then I see the finished result, and realize that I'm no better than the rest of the amateurs out there. I chose the scenery, the positioning, the apparel, the light settings, but left it up to Jenny to snap the picture. See what a great job she did?

There was this river that ran through the "backyard" of this mountaintop and provided a soothing and calming feeling for me and Jenny. Unfortunately, all that Jenny wanted to do was stand inside of the river instead of relaxing. I just felt like standing around and representing. I'm from the streets boyeeee!!!

Despite getting lost, we made it to Craig and Gladys' wedding just on time (it started at 3:30.) This was the reason why we were out here, so we figured that we should at least show up on time. My Dad's directions got us close enough, but he left out the final details, which included how to get from a few blocks away to the church itself.  Luckily he was able to answer his cell phone and give us those final directions. The wedding service was nice, but typical of a Catholic wedding. When the wedding was over, we waited outside to get pictures/congratulate them, and we did, but they were really busy. We then took off towards the reception, which was nearby and on top of a mountain.
