Scott and Joey Kanz go to St. Louis

We had watched quite a bit of the game before we felt the hunger attacking us. Luckily there was this giant Hardees sign that guaranteed charbroiled thickburgers were in the vicinity. Kanz bought himself a ginormous burger and went to town on it.

We happened to come across a couple of Brewers fans and asked them to take our picture. I asked them because they could be trusted. The last thing that I need is for some Cardinal fan to steal my camera. Oh wait, that wouldn't happen because this is St. Louis and not Chicago. I was referring to the idiotic Cubs fans...

These Milwaukee fans were wearing the retro powder blue road uniforms that I adore but cannot afford. I settled on this knockoff t-shirt. We all figured that we wound stand out amongst the crowd of red and white, but then I remembered that the Cardinals also wore powder blue in the 1980's, so we actually blended in, which was a bad thing.

I finished my cup of Busch Beer (which was nearly $10) so that I could pour my can of Miller Lie into it so that I could enjoy a real beer. It's too bad that Busch beer sucks, because it gave me a bad beer face. To cure this ailment, I promptly drank my warm can of Miller Lite, which was still 1,000 times better than Busch/Bud beer.

St. Louis has one of the most informative scoreboards that I have seen. The thing is absolutely huge, and I was delighted to be able to see Bill Hall's smiling face presiding over Busch Stadium. My favorite part was that they included all 3 Brewers logos (current M over the state of Wisconsin, gray Milwaukee road logo, and the ball and glove retro logo.) That was a nice site to see.

Busch Stadium has to have one of the greatest backdrops amongst all Major League stadiums, with the exception of Pittsburgh's PNC Park. I can't really comment on PNC Park because I have yet to go there, but from what I have heard from friends and Brewers commentators, it is certainly a site to behold. Until I go there, I will still say that the view from my seat was pretty badass.

Home

We walked around the exterior of Busch Stadium to check out all of the amenities that it had to offer. Now don't get me wrong, I love Miller Park and everything Milwaukee, but Busch Stadium is an excellent shrine to baseball and an amazing place to watch a game. The city of St. Louis has a fabulous baseball history, and it shows in their dedication to building a perfect structure for America's favorite pastime.
