Summerfest with Timmy + The Gang
I wish that I knew these people's names, because I would do anything to be a spokesperson for their band, and to promote their music to the millions of internet viewers around the world, but alas, I do not know. If you ever see that Uncle Fat is performing, go see them. Hopefully after all my hard work promoting the band, they'll let me come onstage and jam with them on harmonica. Now that would be a treat.
The next band were a little, uh, different. Their name was Bobby Way & the Wayouts. They seemed to be family, that or they had been playing together for like 20 years, because they were quite fond of one another. They were alright, but they seemed out of place to play on the same stage as Styx. They seemed like the kind of band you'd get to play at the children's stage of a church festival or your Grandmother's 80th birthday party. As June's Blanket, Tim and I are goofy and funny, but these people seemed to be trying too hard to make a joke, even dressing up in American flag costumes and wearing silly hats and outfits. I bet that every 8 year old in the crowd had a great time. The one awesome thing they did do was roll out a volleyball net and toss out two beach balls and let us go nuts while they played some surfer songs. Now that was something I have yet to do at a concert, and probably will never ever do again. (Unless I go see Bobby Way & the Wayouts again.)
