Afterglow - Rage for Timmy

We had to leave to head back home today but there was no timetable for our departure. Since we could stick around for a bit we decided to make the most of our time here and take another dip in the lake. Are we crazy? Hell yes. But we signed a pact, and it couldn't be broken.

I didn't want to go in the lake today. I wish I had another option. But when I sign a pact or make a promise I hold true to it. Luckily man has created Liquid Courage which makes these things easier.

This Teenage Bear was introduced into our cabin a few years ago and since then has been a place for us to literally hang our hats. Since we didn't have any sombreros with us I hung my bandana. I know that it's no sombrero, but it is good enough. I love bandanas.

It was very quiet around Afterglow. In fact it was a little too quiet. Don't start up with that cliché. I've been up here a few times outside of the summer and I can tell you with no reservations that it is a million times better in the summer and with all of the family. Of course I don't have any reservations. Do I look like an American Indian to you? Nope. I look like a born-again Mexican. Didn't you see the sombrero?

You can back your way out of the pact. Brian didn't swim today so technically he owes Kevin and I $5 each and we both get to give him an Atomic Wedgie. So look out Brian, we're coming for you pal.

There is crazy and then there is us. There is no feasible reason why we were in the lake in late October when the leaves are off the trees and the temperature is in the 50s. I can't come up with a reason other than to say that we fell off our rockers and hit our heads years ago. But it was a good thing that the hot tub was running because our bodies were cold, which was why Kevin was wrapping himself in plastic to stay warm.

I don't know why Jenny Reck and BK are all partied out. It's not like they raged up on KK with us last night or anything. They actually went to bed at a reasonable hour and have no excuses. I'm sure they would like to offer a few in their defense but I'm not hearing it. Oh well. Some people just have it pretty rough I guess. You definitely don't want to strain yourself while at Afterglow. This is supposed to be a resting place. Whether you spend a full week up here or just one day you definitely don't want to tire out. The days are numbered. There will be more.
