Afterglow - Rage for Timmy

Mom loves Jenny and Jenny loves Mom, but the two of them couldn't be more different. That sometimes puts a little rift in their relationship but they are able to work it out and come together and rage. Or at least the kind of rage that is Mother approved.

Brian loves playing with his noodle. I remember Uncle Greg yelling at him when he was a kid out in the water. "Hey Brian! Quit playing with your noodle!" There's never a dull moment in the Kurutz family.

Whether the raft is in the water or on the shore one thing is certain - we will spend an unnecessary amount of time hanging out on it. Most people don't understand our fascination with this hunk of wood but then again I don't either. It's just a safe place (think ghoul in tag) where we can be free to do whatever we want without worrying about life. I wish I was there right now. But in 21 days I will be. Thank God...

My Mom loves dogs and animals in general. If she had it her way she'd bring home a new one every week. Luckily for our way of living I make the rules at home and shoot down that nonsense.

Of course since I just showed you a picture of my Mom it is now safe to assume that Mom and Eddie had finally arrived at Afterglow. Better late than never I guess. But I suppose they did have to stop for groceries so that we could eat dinner tonight and also have a nice hearty breakfast in the morning. All of the residents in Cabin #2 were now present and accounted for, so now the real party could begin.

Black Diamond, Bunny Hill, Ski Lift or whatever her name was came and joined us and threatened to bite my face off if I didn't get the name right. Since I'm still screwing it up 8 months later I'm sure that I have some viciousness coming my way when we pull up to Afterglow. But back then the dog was just happy to have someone to hang out with that she didn't really care what she was called, unless we called her late for dinner. HA!

It's amazing how much different this joint looks in the fall versus the summer. Gail told us that we just missed the leaves and that if we had come up a couple of weeks earlier we could have seen all the pretty colors of the fall foliage. That was our intention at first but people were busy or something and we had to settle on this weekend. But even though this is the view, it is still better than anything we see back home.

The dock is a great place for taking pictures because it offers a backdrop that even the best photographer can replicate in his studio. That's why I have so many pictures using it and this one of Mom and Eddie is no exception. It's not the first and certainly won't be the last.
