Afterglow - Rage for Timmy

It was really tough to leave. We drove like 5 hours to get here and only stayed for a night. Usually we get an entire week. But also it was tough to leave Timmy behind. Yeah I know he's somewhere nice and he lives on in our hearts, minds and memories, but still this is where he is. But it was really nice to come up here if only for a short time and I know this won't be the last time we come up here in the offseason to Rage for Timmy.

I don't know if this tree had fallen like this or if it had been placed there by Teenage Bears as a prank but we decided to have some fun with it. At first Brian straddled it and rode the tree into town but then realized that it was meant for greater things. Since it was still anchored on one side by the stump it acted like a tightrope of sorts that you could balance on. But it also buckled in the middle and swung with your weight, so staying on it was a mighty achievement. I sat back and watched, entertained by these goofs as they once again never fail to surprise me.

I keep taking pictures of Memory Point. I have a lot of pictures of this place. But that is to be expected since this is such a hallowed place. I might go so far to say that it is my favorite place in the entire world. On one hand it is a place where I can be physically close to Timmy but at the same time it's so hard to be here because he's buried in the ground instead of up here raging with us. You can't change the past so I guess that I must look at Memory Point as a halfway point between here and Heaven. This is as close to Timmy and God that I'll ever be.
