South Carolina 2011 - The Packers

After the game we went into Downtown Charlotte to grab something to eat before we all parted ways. It seemed like a nice place except for this intersection where this mother is throwing her baby in the air. She must be trying to get on the jumbotron at sporting events. Anyone who shakes their baby instantly gets to share their poor parenting skills with thousands of sports fans. I don't get it. But then again I don't have children.

Thanks to Uncle Greg we are all ready to Start the Revolution in a moment's notice. Sometimes someone else puts their fist in the air and we follow but sometimes we have to look for signs of the Revolution. Sometimes they are more obvious, like in this picture.

There were some fountains along the the sidewalk and I tried to get Kevin to go in them but he declined. It was one of the first times that he said no to me and I don't think I liked it. But to each their own I guess. If I wanted someone in the fountain, I would've gone in myself.

As you saw just a minute ago there was this goofy metal art sculpture in front of the hotel. Like the Hootie & the Blowfish one in Columbia, I didn't get it. Must be a Carolina thing to put twisted metal out on the sidewalk. Even though I didn't understand, I could still see myself in it so I took a picture. In the hotel lobby Kevin acted as concierge and directed people to various places in the hotel. I don't know why they listened to him.

Before checking out of town we wanted to grab something to eat and drink. We wandered around for a while looking for a place and we finally settled on this little Trish/English pub. I don't remember what it was called but I never recall those things unless I take a picture of the front of the building. The pub was nice but I didn't get anything to eat. Wasn't that hungry. Good thing I didn't get the fish like James did because that was the biggest piece of deep fried aquatic life I've ever seen. I sat back and watched everyone else while I sipped on my water. I may have had a drink or two but at this point I was just worn out and not looking forward to the long car ride home. But it was necessary. All things must end.

The Duke Energy Center is the 2nd tallest building in Charlotte. It has LED lights on the outside of the building that they can program to display patterns and change colors. For Panthers game days they light it up with this light blue color which also happens to be the same color the Panthers football team uses. Convenient, right? I thought that it looked cool. We walked back to some hotel where Gary was staying to say goodbye and grab our cars to head home.
