Portland February 2015 - Day 4 |
It felt amazing to be in the Ocean on a February day. As much as I fear the sea, there was no place that I would have rather been. Thinking about it now, I realize that just being out of Wisconsin during the Winter was enough to make this the greatest place ever. But there was more to it than that. You can probably tell that just by looking at these pictures. So go ahead and look. There isn't much more that I can say to convince you. |
I remember passing by this shop called Basketcase and making some kind of comment. That comment is lost to me now. Damn you whiskey and the 8 months that has past between then and now. But it was a good one. That's for sure. We walked along the row of shops for a little bit before we remembered our true goal today - the Pacific Ocean at Goonie Beach. So we walked over the dune and were met with a glorious sight - the blue ocean waters. For my money, it doesn't get any better than this. That is why I take so many God damn pictures. They say a thousand words after all. So why am I still talking? I have no idea. Didn't know what else to do. |

Kelly brought Stone to Goonie Beach and Jackie Wilson brought Rosie. Apparently it isn't just 80's kids that flock to this place. Recently born dogs hear the calling as well. Everyone is welcome here. That was the beauty of this place. Despite being February, there was a good amount of people who were enjoying this beautiful local and soaking up the sun and Pacific air on this Sunday afternoon. |
