Tim was in Washington D.C. over Easter Weekend (April 7 +8) with our Uncle Mike to see the band Widespread Panic. They arrived in D.C. early Saturday morning, went to the concert Saturday night, and flew back Sunday morning and were back in town for Easter dinner. On Saturday morning, Tim had some time on his own (Uncle Mike was back in the hotel napping) so he walked around the mall and checked out some of the historical monuments and sights. When he visited the White House, he saw these people protesting against the war in Iraq. He protested along with them and these old grannies, and even made it onto their website (www.yellowcakewalk.net), which is where I got these pictures. He then taught this old lady how to do a "west side" symbol, which is how they represented while box ballot man looked on. When I first saw these pictures, I laughed so hard because I knew that if I was there, I would have been protesting right alongside Tim. |
