After visiting the Quick Stop in Leonardo, New Jersey, I now need to come up with a new thing to do before I die. It was my dream come true to visit the Quick Stop, which was the site where Kevin Smith filmed his legendary movie Clerks. I've been a fan of Kevin Smith since I first saw Mallrats, then became obsessed after viewing Clerks. You probably know him best as the character Silent Bob that he played in his movies Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II. He writes, directs, edits, and acts in all of his movies and makes plenty of references to New Jersey, as well as characters from his previous films. He's quite proud of the Garden State and it's people, and continues to return to New Jersey to shoot scenes or even the entire film inside it's borders. I'd like to thank Kevin for making New Jersey cool for me to visit, because aside from the locations that I knew from his movies, there wasn't much else in Jersey to look at.
