Packers vs. Saints Game (October 9, 2005)
This was painted on the side of what looks like a utility shed. We passed it on the way back to the car. I thought that it was ridiculous because I know that if I made a crappy painting, I wouldn't put it up for everyone to see, let alone provided my name and phone number so that people could call me up and tell me how much it sucks.
My Dad forgot where we parked. This is a guy who lived in Green Bay (a relatively small city that only has a population of 102,313) and should know his way around. We wandered the streets for what seemed like hours, before he finally remembered where the car was located. Good thing, cause we had to get going.
When I'm up there with Tim, we usually set off fireworks because we're out in the country. Since we had just seen a blowout (tee hee) we felt that it wasn't necessary. After all, we were here to see Jim and Mary and not to blow things up. Their 3 daughters, Katherine, Sarah and Theresa were home for the weekend, so the entire family was present for a delicious meal. We couldn't stay too long, because we were already tired from a hung over day in the sun, and we all had to get to work early on Monday morning. We hugged and said our goodbyes, and my Dad drove us home. I slept the entire way home, and dreamed of the day when the Packers would win another game. I'll be dreaming for a long time.
Oconto Falls is a little town about 45 minutes North of Green Bay, and also happens to be the place where some of our good friends live. My parents met Jim and Mary Taggart in college, and have remained friends ever since. We don't get to see them much, maybe just a few times a year, but that just makes every time more special. Jim's a very knowledgeable person; he knows tons about moving, packing, storing, building, etc. He pretty much built his house, as well as adding on tons of cool stuff like a swimming pool and this gazebo. Mary's an awesome cook, and sometimes she'll make gooey chocolate chip cookies to make us feel better. She definitely knows how to get on my good side, but she's so nice she doesn't need any cookies.
