I used to have a measuring chart with Robin Yount on it when I was younger. It allowed me to chart my growth against the 6'0" Brewers MVP. I wish I would have kept it, because Robin is now in the Baseball Hall of Fame, an exceptional coach and person, and I also now stand as tall as he does. I guess I'll just measure myself against this tree. True, it's no Yount, but it will have to do. Jenny and Dad had no idea what I was doing, and just smiled as I took their picture as they relaxed by the pool's edge.

Jenny claimed that there were tiny lizards crawling around in the brush. I looked at the ground and tried to see the lizards because I didn't believe her. I didn't see anything, but I think it was mostly do to the fact that my vision was blurred because I had been drinking. Upon further inspection, I can now see the lizard in the picture on the left (it's down in the lower left corner), so that means Jenny was telling the truth all along. When we were walking back to the apartment, I saw this lizard chilling on a drainage pipe. Those little suckers were everywhere.

I have to admit that church and I have had a falling out after we spent the first 21 years of our lives together. I have nothing against organized religion, Catholicism, Christianity, or the church I belong to, but it's just tough to wake up early on Sunday morning and go to church. It's supposed to be about sacrificing your time to gather and worship, but I'm just too tired. I go every now and then, but today was the first time that I attended church since Christmas Eve, which means its been about 3 months between church visits. We went to the cathedral where Bob Schafer is the choir director. Bob was the choir director at our Church St. Catherine's in Milwaukee in the 80's, and has been down in Orlando since leaving there. Dad joined the choir when he moved down here, and the service and the music was nice. Afterwards, we went back to the apartment and spent most of the day by the pool working on our tans. Jenny passed out in the sun while I goofed around and went in and out of the hot and cold pools. Oh, and I was drinking too. Both of those made for a pretty fun afternoon.
