Orlando Spring Break - Day 3

This wasn't the best bar that I've ever been to, but it certainly wasn't the worst. It did have was a sweet outdoor patio, but it was a little too cold + windy outside to hang out there for long periods of time. We also got really bad service from the outdoor bartender. The situation didn't improve on the inside, as that bartender shunned us as well. We only stayed for 1 pitcher of beer, then set off to look for a better bar. On the way out, I stopped for a picture with this salty sea captain. That was the sweetest thing about this place.

Today was St. Patrick's Day, and Jenny's first one since she turned 21 and could legally drink. I was excited to take her out for some green beer, but she wasn't as anxious to start drinking early. Last year, I started out at 6 am, but Florida bars cannot legally open until 11 am. We slept in just a bit, then I started drinking. We had planned to drive to the Tampa Bay area and spend the day at the bars and on the beach. It took us forever to find a bar (apparently these Floridians don't drink nearly as often as us Wisconsinites) that was celebrating St. Patrick's day, and we eventually settled on this sea shanty. It was as far removed from an Irish pub as one could possibly be, but they did serve green beer. Although most pure Irish frown upon the idea of green beer, I really wanted some, but I was also craving some Guinness, Smithwick's, and some Irish Car Bombs. They didn't have any of the above, so we were forced to drink green beer. I was a little disappointed that they couldn't make me an Irish Car Bomb, but I figured I could wait until I got home to drink like that again. We drank our green beer in peace.

This sea turtle near the front of the store looked pissed off, kinda liked it wanted to go out there and kick some ass. I thought that only the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles kicked ass, so this was a surprise to me. This one must have been one of their cousins from the Atlantic Ocean. Whatever the case may be, he took some time off of crime fighting to pose for a picture with Jenny. Jenny loves turtles almost as much as I love pirates and salty sea captains, so she got her wish when she stood by this giant turtle. Both of them were extremely happy to be celebrating St. Patrick's day and taking a day off from life to drink.
