It's almost as if we were putting on a show for free; the people in attendance got something without giving up some of their precious dollars. If I thought that we were good, like the ice capades or Kenny G, I would have charged admission. It would be nice to get a couple more dollars in my pocket, but I fear that dollars alone would not solve my current situation. I need a heck of a lot more to turn it all around. As long as these 2 (plus James and Mom) stick by my side, I have no fear as I continue my journey into the mysterious unknown. |
I sit in the hot tub, and instead of relaxing and easing my troubles into a far off place, I present a mass of solid air to the ever growing audience. Doubters would argue that I present nothing, but my rebuttal would include scientific proof that molecules and biological hooey occupy that space. I was never very good at chemistry, in face I was horrible, so I probably couldn't explain it even if I tried... |
When Jenny normally takes a hold of the camera, strange and often unexplainable things occur. You most likely get pictures of feet, the sky, or close-ups of the nearest person. The 3rd one is true here because Jenny is the closest person to the camera, so she fulfills the requirement by taking a picture of herself. |
Ohio - They Leave, We get Drunk |
I'm always surprised at how naive parents really are. The difference between what they see/believe and what really happens is insane. When everyone came back from the rehearsal/dinner, they found us in the pool. The parents were laughing because we were bring kids and goofing around and having a good time. Their kids knew exactly what was really going on - the tree of us were wasted and we had no control of ourselves. I handed my Mom the camera and promised that we'd give her some worthwhile pictures. I always deliver positive results. |
I take time off from underwater handstands to point out just how good Tim and Jenny are doing. Even though they were a little off (drunk), they still rocked handstands with the best of them. If there were ever a drunken underwater handstand competition, all three of us would most definitely enter. We may not win, nor will we be the best of all time, but we definitely will turn some heads and gain some fans. |
Tim was left in the water all by himself. Normally we like to employ the buddy system, and this time was no different, but with 3 people it was hard to buddy up. Jenny and I were together, but that meant leaving Tim by his lonesome. In case of trouble, we were close enough to come to his aid. That's how we roll. |
Jenny tries desperately to sneak in on Tim as he exits the pool but she only succeeds in barely making it into the frame. I think the only one who was surprised by her actions was Timmy, and like when you're happy and you know it, his face really shows it. See, childhood lessons are important. |
The security guard on duty that night was no older than our collective selves were. I originally figured that he was in no position to secure our lives. After hanging out with him (and 1 and 1/2 years later forgetting his name) we bonded and and a ridiculously good and drunk time. |
