Normally I don't like taking the credit for a good idea, but I'll happily say that I suggested that we go and check out he Brooklyn Bridge. It only took a short subway ride from Central Park to get there too. We had to walk a couple of blocks from the subway, and then we had to walk about halfway across the bridge, but it was worth it. Both of us were so tired we didn't think that we would make it, but since we made it halfway across the Golden Gate Bridge, we figured that we owed it to ourselves to at least go halfway on this one.

We saw a guy (who looked foreign and was obviously a tourist) do this pose in front of the stone arches and decided to mock him by replicating  his pose. I guess he figured since he was on his way to Brooklyn, he better start acting tough in order to fit in with the rough and tough gang that resides there. After watching numerous TV shows and movies of New York City, one can come to the conclusion that people in the surround boroughs (most notable Queens and Brooklyn) are all a bunch of street smart tricksters and hooligans. Foreigners crack me up because of their limited view of American culture, but then I get sad because I realize that TV and movies do properly depict how we act.

Most people (tourists) purchase I heart NY shirts and wear them with pride. You've already seen the hat that I bought on Day 2, but I got sucked in by a street vendor and purchased one of those shirts. Although I was now a proud owner of 2 tacky New York City souvenirs, on Day 4 I wore my I heart pookon.com, which is obviously a rip-off of the aforementioned product. Even though no one here would understand what I am advertising, I hoped that they would get upset at me for replacing their city name with a product of my choosing. No one in NYC cared though.

The pedestrian walkway is suspended over the road below. It's a little scary at first because there are a total of 6 lanes with crazy New York City traffic buzzing below, but you get used to it as soon as you realize that you aren't going to die. While we we standing on the walkway, we saw this taxi minivan tap the bumper of this red car in the picture on the left. The man in the red car stopped, parked his car, then got out and bitched out the taxi driver, then got back in back in and went on is way. Everyone knows about the stereotypical New York City resident, but I didn't believe that they actually acted like that until I saw that man get out of his vehicle to give the taxi driver a piece of his mind.
