Minnesota 2012 with Kevin - Finale

Drinks always go down smooth, but they go down a whole lot smoother when they are free. Zack Greinke was pitching today so we saw a pretty good game. But then we got a little bit of unexpected bonus baseball when neither team decided to win. The game ended up going into the 15th inning so we definitely made the right choice by coming here instead. We had some good eats, free popcorn, cheap drinks, free drinks and some good company. What more can you ask for? It was the perfect afternoon with the only exception that the Brewers lost the game. But they still won the series so I could go home happy. I love Minnesota. This place is awesome.

Even though I was driving back home late Sunday night and had to be at work tomorrow morning I didn't regret my decision to head up North. I would have liked to be able to stay longer and spend more time with the Bates Family but I'll take whatever I can get. I'm glad that Kevin decided to tag along because he sure made certain parts more interesting. Ah what the hell - he made all of it interesting. That's the kind of compliments I dole out around here pal. But Kevin has been on several weekend excursions with me and by now he is all too familiar with how I roll. I doubt this will be the last time we do something like this so keep an eye out for our next adventure.

Regardless of what it looks like, we are not a gay couple and this is not our adopted baby. We are simply best friends holding my Godson. There's nothing gay about that. Just a lot of dude action going on. But I guess that is pretty standard for my life.

The only thing that sucked about our time at Burrito Loco was that I had to cut myself off so I could sober up. I had to work tomorrow and it's a 5 hour drive back home. So from innings 8-15 I was drinking soda while Kevin was boozing it up hardcore.

Home

We took Mike back to Katie's Aunt's house to say goodbye to everyone before heading home. Reese finally warmed up to me (it always takes her a while) and we all had a massive pillow fight in the spare bedroom. The kids were giggling with glee which angered the adults  in the other room. Apparently we were roughhousing and causing a disturbance. But the kids really liked it. Mike and I were making sure none of them got hurt and it was all in good fun. But all good times must come to an end and it was time to say goodbye.

Kevin was drunk as a squirrel at the bottom of a whiskey barrel so I had to drive us home. I knew this was going to be by far the most difficult part of the entire trip. Have you ever dealt with drunken Kevin in a confined space? You don't want to try it.

I said my goodbyes to everyone and it was really hard to leave. Then I said goodbye to Wilson, the biggest cat I've ever seen. I don't get to see Mike, Katie, Reese and Mason all that often so it was hard only having 2 days to be able to spend together.
