Minnesota 2012 with Kevin - Finale

The kids each had an unlimited ride pass and Reese took full advantage of it. Mason on the other hand wasn't feeling all of the other rides except for the train. He was loving the mess out of that train. When the ride was over he started crying and wanted to keep on going so Mike and Katie took turns riding with him. I couldn't help but sit back and watch the kid have an amazing time on that train.

Game 3 of this Brewers/Twins series wasn't until 1pm so they all decided to go to the Zoo. Since we had to be checked out of the hotel by like 11, Kevin and I decided to join them. This Zoo was free and although it was small, it was a pretty nice zoo. It had all of the animals you would expect to see like lions, monkeys and seals so it was ok in my book. We wandered around and the kids marveled at all of the animals. We went indoors to the aquatic exhibit to see the penguins, and I wasn't the only one who thought things smelled fishy here...

Kids don't like me. I don't understand, because I am just a rather large version of them. They have their reasons but since they have yet to develop the vocal capacity to share said reasons, I am left to quietly ponder on my own. Reese always takes a while to warm up to me but Mason, although being Captain Adorable of the S.S. Cutie, wasn't too kind to his mates other than of his parents. Someday he'll like me. I hope so.

Mason let me hold him just long enough so that the two of us could monkey around with this gorilla statue. After that he started squirming and crying so I had to give him back to his parents. I can't wait until the day when he is old enough to figure out who I am and that I don't pose a threat to him. Of course if I was in his life as much as his parents were then we would already be best pals. But I'm not. I just hope that I don't screw it up by the time he's able to make a choice of whether or not he likes me. I want him to like me.

This Zoo is also an amusement park of sorts but it is of course geared towards little kids. They have all sorts of rides and games to keep the kids entertained and to drain the money out of their parent's wallets. You've probably seen this fish game before but I doubt you have taken the time to play it recently. That's because unless you are a small child you probably won't find this sort of thing amusing.
