Minnesota 2012 with Kevin - Burnin' Down |
I was still throwing up almost to the minute before Katie's Dad came to pick us up. Katie's parents had come up as well so they would be babysitting the kids so that we could enjoy a day at the ballpark. I don't know how I could enjoy anything. I hurt so bad. |
We had been listening to the Brewers game in the car and we got to the Super 8 Hotel just in time to see the Mighty Martin Maldonado hit a 2 run shot to put the Brewers on top 5-3. Since we didn't have any other plans that night we decided to hang out in the hotel. Kevin and I write for The Daily Burner and we started doing podcasts in April while up at Afterglow for Rage for Timmy II: The Secret of the Ooze. We figured tonight was right for having a few drinks, hitting record and seeing what kind of nonsense comes out of our mouths. |
The night got out of control really fast for me because I hit the bottle of rum hard like there was a prize at the bottom. Before I knew it I was making some pretty inflammatory remarks which were captured on record for our Podcast. Listen to them by clicking Episode 7 - Random Bible Passages and Episode 8 - Subaru 8 but I warn you that it is unbelievably R Rated so listen at your own risk. In between episodes I went outside to smoke a cigar which I hardly ever do unless I'm gambling or drink. Well here I guess I was doing both because I was gambling with my life with all of this excessive drinking. This night was rough but the Podcasts were freaking amazing. |
Kevin didn't drink nearly as much as I did (no one ever has) so he was in good spirits in the morning. But he is also just 21 years old so his body can rebound better. He even slept on the floor and looks this good. Ah, to be young. I miss it so much. |
I paid dearly for what happened last night. Oh boy did I. I threw up more than I thought was humanly possible and I was so hungover. We were going to the Brewers/Twins game which started at 1pm, and I was probably in bed until 12:30 pm. |
Kevin mixed up an alcoholic beverage in the morning and the slight thought of booze made me more sick to my stomach. In the morning I had one of those epic "I'll never drink again" moments that go away as soon as the hangover disappears. |
