Chicago Airport with Rich
In April of 2002, the week following Easter (Spring Break for Wauwatosa East), the Evans' went to Las Vegas. You will all remember that time for it was then that Jenny, Jake, James and I furnitured their house. They faced numerous delays at the airport, and ended up taking a different flight home than originally planned. Because of that, their luggage was sent to Chicago's Midway Airport. Rich had to go down there to pick it up one night, and I just happened to be hanging out at their house. I asked Rich if he wouldn't mind some company along the way, so we saddled up and drove to Chicago.
I brought my camera along for the ride (of course) and started out taking a few pictures as Rich spoke with an airline representative to find out at where his bags were. I played around on that moving walkway thing, then sat down on the stairs to ponder my next move and photographic opportunity.
Being a faithful and return visitor of this site, you have already seen this picture in the Pic o the Day section. I'm guessing that you have always wondered 'Where was that picture taken?' and 'Why are you in a wheelchair?' Now you know where the picture was taken, but why was I in a wheelchair? Because it was there, and it looked like fun.
We grabbed a few of the bags, then headed out towards the Northwest Airlines counter where we would be able to pick up the rest of the bags. I told Rich about the moving walkways, and how cool they were. We stopped for a picture, then continued on our way.
I told Rich to take a picture of me, and he told me to look at the camera. I said no, I wanted a picture of me looking somewhere. Rich didn't understand, but took the picture anyway. Now you have to sit and wonder - what am I looking at? And why? The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind.
I returned the favor by snapping this picture of a confused Rich looking at the overhead signs to find the Northwest Airlines desk at the appropriate gate. I told you what Rich was looking at, so maybe Rich can tell you what I was looking at. Go ahead and ask him.
