La Crosse Visit with Family

It is strange to be at a disadvantage, especially during something that I'm normally good at, like throwing Frisbees. Jenny not only one-upped me that day, but she two-upped me as well.

Some of us were throwing Frisbees, but Tim was throwing a tree branch like it was a trident. Not the gum, but that pointy stick that the King in the Little Mermaid has.

This was Mom's first time Frisbee golfing, and although it took her a little while to get the hang of it, by the end she was keeping up with us. I was quite impressed with her enthusiasm and effort.

The course was only 9 holes (as opposed to the regulation 18) so we were done in about an hour. While we rested on a bench, Tim took his fascination of throwing sticks to a new level when he started hurling these massive logs into the nearby river. Trust me, mother nature scolded him for his crimes against her children.

The goal is to put the Frisbee in the basket, but Tim felt like putting himself on the basket and Jenny put herself in the basket instead of the Frisbee. My family sure has a weird sense of humor.
