Brewers Games in Kansas City

The fun came when I went outside to check out this playground that I saw yesterday when we arrived at the hotel. The playground was behind a grade school, but since it was Saturday, there were no playground supervisors to yell at me for goofing around. This place was either built for young people or midgets, and I knew it because everything was scaled down from its original version. For instance, this basketball hoop was probably only 7 and a 1/2 feet tall, which allowed someone like me to hammer down a mean slam dunk

I was exhausted after my slam dunk contest marathon, so I decided to give my feet a little rest while I went swinging. Swinging is one of my favorite activities and I hope it is something that I never grow out of. If I have it my way, I'll have a swing set in my backyard and I'll still be swinging with my kids at age 50.

Since I went to bed semi-early last night and didn't stay up drinking and gambling, I woke up at about 6:30 am. Since everyone else in the room was still fast asleep, I decided to go out and find something to do for a couple hours. The first thing that came to mind was to grab a free continental breakfast in the lobby. I know I had yogurt, a bagel and some juice, but aside from that, breakfast was pretty normal.

You might be asking yourself how I was able to take this pictures if I was indeed all alone. Thanks to modern technology (the self-timer and the camera's ability to take a rapid succession of pictures) I could capture the moment of my triumph in sports. For each dunk, I would set the self-timer, count to 10, then run towards the hoop and try to dunk while the camera was still taking pictures. It took me several tries to master it, and when I was finished I had over 30 pictures of me in various dunking positions. I chose the 4 best and put them here. You wouldn't believe how much time and energy went into getting these pictures, but it's ok because I really had nothing better to do.

I am completely baffled as to how this picture ended up looking as it does. To this day, I still have not been able to recreate another one just like it. I was trying to take a picture of myself with the playground in the background and it ended up looking like the picture was taking using a kaleidoscope as a lens.
