Afterglow 2010 - Day 2 Sunday

I've been coming to Afterglow since I was a little kid, and I know that all of the other kids can say the same thing. So it is no surprise to anyone that we still act like a bunch of 5 year olds, only now there's a whole lot more booze thrown in to the mix. When you mix $13 rum with childlike attitude and wonderment, you get moments like this. And it is moments like this that truly capture the spirit of Afterglow. Because pictures like these ones show you what true happiness is really like. If only I could feel like this the other 51 weeks out of the year. If only...

Kevin certainly liked it, and if he wasn't our cousin I would swear that he was secretly in love with us. He clings on to every word and note like one of those sticky gummy spiders descending down the kitchen wall. I can't blame him though, because I do the exact same thing.

Whether we're at home or at Afterglow, it is very rare that you find Timmy without a guitar in his hand. That is when he isn't cozying up to a bottle of whiskey. But at Afterglow he can do both, and in that moment the sweetest music can be heard echoing though the woods.

Cliques exist in every setting. Whether it be at the office, at school or at Afterglow; small elite like minded groups tend to form. So we were just adhering to the norm when we created the pact and only invited a select few to join. Sorry man, not everyone can be as cool as we are.

I do know that Stacy took this picture because I intentionally flipped her off. Some of you might take offense to that, but little Stacy ain't so little anymore. She's all growed up and in college now, and she can handle a little good natured razzing and illicit behavior. Trust me.

I'm not calling Timmy or Kevin fat, but they are definitely too big to be on this slide. It was meant for children, not grown people who act like children. But even if a rule were placed in the Red Book that limited the age or size of the person on the slide, they still wouldn't listen and violate the rules. And speaking of being in violation of the rules, I'm sure that every time we go in the HT we put it over capacity and break some of the other posted rules. But we don't care because we are still acting out in protest of the new HT. What was wrong with the old HT that caused them to replace it with this crap?
