Afterglow 2010 - Day 5 Wednesday

Kevin and Brian had a healthy dose of Revolution in their cups that day, and they were anxious to start it and share it with everyone. The trouble was that we were still hanging out in the cabin and only sharing it with each other. We needed to take it out in the world.

Cabin #2 is usually where all the cool kids hang out. Probably because we have the best booze shelf in the entire resort. So we filled up our drinks, drank 'em down and filled 'em up again. In the meantime we did some shots to pass the time. And our brain cells were slipping away.

The drinks were going down smoother than the Easter Bunny's furry ass, and before we knew it refills were in order. Tim and Brian were rocking the red cups, and I still wonder where they got them from. I don't remember buying them, but then again I don't remember anything.

But we weren't quite ready to take the Revolution out to the streets yet. After all, we've been starting this shit for 3 years now and haven't got past the starting phase. So why do it now? But we were content to show our love for the Revolution safely within the confines of cabin #2.

It looks like we decided to move the party outside. And why not? It was a beautiful day and my iPod dock runs on batteries, so the air was sweet and the music was gemy. But why waste the day here? There's plenty of better places (like the beach) to waste the day away.

And just like that the drinks were once again empty. I've been trying to figure out how we got so drunk, but looking at these pictures I figure we had at least 3 drinks each in a half hour plus multiple shots. That's enough to make anyone forget the afternoon.

Since James and Melissa were absent from Afterglow this year, Kevin once again filled in for the missing persons. There's no way that he could take the place of 2 people (cause that's impossible) but he at least gave it the old college try. So he did 2 days of filling in.

When we got down to the beach Mom was already there enjoying the spectacular weather. She insisted on wearing one of our sombreros and taking a "family picture." Since she paid for the entire shindig we had no choice but to oblige. Plus the booze made us agree to anything.

Dale used to be one of the kids. He used to be the one to start up ball tag and lead all the kids to the raft like the Pied Piper. And then he got old. That or we got old and stopped playing games. So Dale is still cool, but I feel like I am the one who has slowed down with age.

Kevin can try to act like an adult all he wants, but at his core he is still just a little kid, and a Momma's boy at that. Carol made sure that Kevin had sunscreen properly applied to every inch of his exposed skin. And once again Mom was right, as he avoided a sunburn.

Why in the hell would I be jealous about Gary hanging out with Uncle Dan when I was hanging out with Uncle Greg? No offense to Uncle Dan or anything, but Uncle Greg is the coolest guy on the planet. He is the creator of so many things, like the Revolution and salatorious.

Gary was hanging out on the beach with Uncle Dan and I was insanely jealous of him. Of course since I took this picture then I too in a roundabout way was hanging out with Uncle Dan as well. So I had no reason to be jealous but I was anyway. That's just how it is sometimes.
