Afterglow 2010 - Day 5 Wednesday |
Timmy has problems with his car. That's surprising considering it's only 5 years old and it's a Toyota. But his car wouldn't start this morning so he jumped it. Timmy's car and I have something in common; I too wouldn't start this morning, but I mixed a drink to get me going. |
Beege was leaving today. No one cared because we don't like him. So good riddance! I'm just kidding. Beege was actually really cool and he boozed it up pretty hard. I hope that he comes back next year and is able to stay for the entire week. I had a lot of fun hanging with Beege. |
Brian and Kevin think that they are good at things, and every now and then they try to prove it. Today they would test their might in the annual tennis match against Tommy and Jenna, who are better all around athletes. Not to say that Brian and Kevin can't compete in athletic events, but it's not really their strong point. Now if this was drinking competition Brian and Kevin would win double-fists down. So even though I knew which team was more likely to win I watched this match anyway because I had nothing better to do. But even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes... |
Sometimes you also bring people with you to the event, and you hope that they bring extra drinks and snacks. But I caution against bringing weirdos like Timmy because they bring weird snacks like pita chips and hummus. This is Afterglow, not the Middle East. |
At Afterglow you get mighty thirsty sitting around watching people do stuff, which is why you bring a drink to said events. When your drink runs out, you need a refill. Dale and Gary were empty, so I offered to get them another, and I grabbed myself a beer for the effort. |
I'm pretty sure that Tommy and Jenna beat Brian and Kevin. Someone may correct me on that, but I don't really care. When all was said done the next teams stepped forward on the court and Gary and Mark teamed up to achieve Afterglow tennis supremacy. I didn't stick around to watch anymore because I had better things to do. |
During the break between matches professional tennis events might have some form of entertainment. I'm not 100% sure, because I don't watch tennis. But here at Afterglow people got to watch me play tennis. Based on how you look at it, that may be a form of entertainment. I didn't care what they thought, because I had a beer in my hand. |
