Afterglow 2010 - Day 4 Tuesday

While I was recovering from the night before and getting ready for the next day, Susie and Uncle Rick were in the lodge for the local nature specialist's critter demonstration. Aside from reading about it in the Redbook, I have no idea what it involves besides holding snakes.

Mornings are always rough, but mornings are especially rough at Afterglow because all of the raging that we do on KK. Since I sleep on the pull out coach, I usually get up when the first person gets up. This morning I raged it with Aunt Sandy and fought off my hangover.

Today was kind of a crappy day weather wise, but we still had to fulfill our obligation to the pact to go swimming every day. So one I summed up the strength and liquid courage, I went down to the beach with the other pact members to go jump off the HD. Tim kinda just snuck up on me (sneaky sneaky) as I was taking this picture and took the spotlight away from me. So I took another picture of just me. This is my website fool.

After swimming Timmy went and stood out in the boat. Someone (or the voice in his head) must have told him that it was a good idea, because it goes against what the Redbook and common sense tells you. He didn't row while he was out there, he just went where the wind and the water current took him. And it took him down to the next dock where jenny was alive and well and waiting for a boat ride. So he docked and another adventure began.

There's really not much else to explore via boat on Afterglow Lake. Early French travelers (and Indians long before them) had already navigated and mapped these waters, but that didn't stop Timmy and Jenny from trying to find something new. With Timmy as the muscle and Jenny as the navigator there were a 1,000 things that could go wrong, but if one things goes right and they find something then they would heroes.
