Afterglow 2010 - Day 3 Monday

The Potluck dinner is at like 6:00 pm and the nightly campfire doesn't start until 9:00 pm, so what did we do in between the two? I don't remember, and I also don't feel like contacting my historian. So I'm just going to go ahead and say we went into a mini food coma after stuffing our faces silly from the smorgasbord of food that was presented to us. But I do know that we were all geared up for Monday night's sing a long, which is usually the highest attended one because everyone is already gathered for the Potluck. I don't know if they were ready for this show.

I feel bad for dissing Kevin as he has become an accomplished guitar player in a short amount of time. He joined us on a momentous track that we called "4 Guitar Mary Jane" that offered the campfire patrons a dose of Northwoods surround sound music at its finest.

No offense to Kevin, but Tim and Mom are the real musicians at the campfire and the rest of us are just riding on their coattails. They set the bar pretty high but lucky for us they allow idiots like the Back Alley Burners to make a guest appearance in the music scene.

Uncle Rick is the keeper of the fire, which gives us light, warm and something to gather around. His job is that of the utmost importance, and many men have tried to replace him and have failed in the process. No one can stack and maintain a bonfire like Uncle Rick.

We all sit back, relax and reflect on another great day at Afterglow while the music of the Uncle Greg Band fills the night air. A fire is the perfect way to end every night, and I can't think of better people to do it with. And now! On to raging on KK! Let's rage the night away!
