Afterglow 2010 - Day 3 Monday |
I'm guessing that Timmy is giving Jenny a Teenage Bear Hug because he just loves his big sister sooooo much. And what's not to love about her? She's a cool girl who drinks beer and curses like a street hoodlum. |
Before immersing ourselves in the refreshing lake waters, we took a JSJT pic, with Kevin filling in for James. Kevin was the go to fill in for every family picture if the person couldn't make it because they were in another state or if they were passed out somewhere. |
Tim and I drove into Phelps to drop some packages off at the post office. Tim recently finished his 5th CD "The Cosmic Dance" and wanted to send a copy to a couple of people. Since I had nothing better to do, I went along for the ride. While we were in town we stopped at North Twin Lake to go swimming. I told Tim that even though we have passed by this lake every single time we drove to or from Afterglow for my entire life, I have never stopped to swim in it. I guess swimming in Afterglow Lake is just so good that all other lakes pale in comparison. So we did it. |
After our naps it was time to go swimming. And before we leave the cabin for a couple of hours we usually refill our drinks and do a shot for the road. I know that it isn't the smartest thing to drink before swimming, because you're supposed to wait a half hour or something. |
We have different routes that we swim in the lake when we're not chilling on top of the HD. One of those is the Alice Route (AR) named after Alice Moline, co-founder of Afterglow Lake Resort. We take a break after swimming the AR to AD2 and hang like fish out of water on the shore. |
I guess by now you're wondering why these pictures are all fuzzy and pixilated. Settle down. You're not that drunk. I grabbed my secondary camera for some reason and realized that it was as messed up as I was. But even though the pictures are as blurry as the Sasquatch, they still are able to tell the story of the hijinks that Timmy and I got into that afternoon. North Twin was alright, but it was pretty shallow from where I was standing. But we didn't stay too long, as Afterglow Lake Resort and our family members were calling our names. |
