Florida Spring Break 2008 - Day 2 |
I had only been down here for 2 days now, but I was already working on a sweet burn that would soon dissolve into a sweet tan. I know its hard to tell in this picture, but I was pretty freakin' hammered by this time in the night. That probably explains why I was standing in the tunnel from the concourse flexing my "muscles". Or lack thereof. |
This old dude gave me his balls. Wait! That didn't sound right. Too bad my backspace button is broken. So now everyone will think I accepted old balls. But I kinda did. He was leaving, so he gave me his balls to throw on the field, and my Dad landed 1 in the hula hoop and got free tickets for an upcoming game. Thanks old dude. |
A lot of people tried to win $100 cash money, but tonight no one succeeded. Manny stood on the field and giggled at them like the dog on Duck Hunt. What a jerk. But hopefully everyone walked away happy though. Thanks to Thirsty Thursdays and a Manatees victory, I stumbled away happy, and my minor league baseball experience was one for the ages. There were a good amount of people who stuck around for the post game money making opportunity, but my Dad's car was the only one left in the parking lot after the game. It was a long and difficult walk back to the car, and I'm pretty sure that I asked my Dad to carry me at one point. Whenever I'm drunk, I always ask someone to carry me because I'm tired of this walking bullshit. Man, people in motorized wheelchairs got it easy. And now I expect to get some backlash from disabled people for bringing them in to this discussion. First I offended the gays (from Day 1's entry) and now I pick on the disabled? Man I'm a heartless bastard. I wonder who I will piss off in tomorrow's entry. Stay tuned to see who that is. |
We moved around a lot to check out the view from several different angles, and since all tickets cost the same, they let us. General admission tickets are $7 each, but the fact that you can sit anywhere is negated by the fact that there were tons of empty seats. I really liked our seats on the 1st base side right behind the home dugout, but these ones right behind home plate weren't too bad either. My Dad didn't seem like he cared either way, for he's never been that big of a baseball fan. I remember going to games with him as a kid, but it was mostly because I was in the Coca-Cola Brewers Kids Club. If I were to affiliate him with a sport and team, then I would call my Dad a Green Bay Packers fan. He got satellite television and an NFL package when he lived in Florida just so that he could watch every Packer game. When the Packers used to play at County Stadium in the 80s/90s, my Dad had a partial season ticket package. So I guess then it's safe to say that he's a football and Packers fan. That's ok, cause I care so much about baseball and the Brewers that I make up for his lack of interest. |
