The guy singing Neil Diamond must have heard me singing along, because he turned to me, nodded and smiled. I guess I was the only one getting into his show, so I guess I made a positive impact on his day. I'm always glad to help out.

We saw this kid on one of those bungee things, which was like one of those elastic baby seats that hangs in a doorway. Do they still make those things? I know they were around in the 80's. This kid was hyped, and he was doing flips and stuff, so I had to take his picture.

So like true blue collar fair goers, we went and saw the racing pigs. I actually insisted that we do this because it's just one of those things that you do at a fair.. We already checked out the cows and chickens and stuff, ate corn on the cob, checked out the miracle wonder products - this was just the next thing to do. These pigs were sweet (they even swim) and race for Oreo cookies. It was a good rest from walking around and a good waste of time.

When we walked in, they handed us a free sample of some sausage jerky. I thought that that was rather insensitive, considering that the pigs were so tiny and cute. Plus they were really smart and trained to do things, almost like a domesticated animal. I just wish that there was some place where I could put a couple of dollars on the race. I was already behind from buying some scratch tickets, so I needed an opportunity to get back on top of the game.
