California Spring Break (Day 2)

Last time I was in California (Back in Christmas of 2002), Tim, Craig, and I went to Fry's and found an $8,000 refrigerator. I instantly knew that this was the fridge that I would but if I ever got rich At that point in time, I had not yet made millions by turning pookon.com into a multi-million dollar empire, so I had no choice but to pass on the fridge. Luckily I came back to Fry's on this trip, an there it was - my fridge. This time around the price had dropped to an affordable $6,500! You must still be asking yourself, "why the hell would anyone pay $6,500 for a refrigerator? This fridge had it all - a side by side fridge and freezer, an external ice cube and water dispenser, and then this plasma touch screen. Incorporated into this screen was a TV, radio, the internet, a calendar, paintbrush, and mp3 player, all controlled by remote or simply by touching the screen. Me and Craig went crazy, as we both examined our credit cards to see if it would put us over our credit limits, and sadly, it did. So we just wrote a message on the fridge and bid it farewell. Maybe next time I can afford my fridge...

But my dad was just looking at regular fridges, despite my pleadings that he should dish out $6,500 on the "fridge of the future". There was nothing I could say or do to persuade him to purchase the fridge that would revolutionize his life and make everything he did that much simpler. (Haven't you always wanted to access the internet from your kitchen?) But we instead took a look at the boring refrigerators, and we took a picture alongside them just to prove how insignificant they were.

When we had exited the store at closing time, there was a light rain in the air. Craig did not want to get wet at all, so he put his hood on. He then started dancing around and spinning. The rain will make people do some crazy things. And that was the perfect end to a perfect day out here in southern California.
