California Spring Break (Day 9)
Since we didn't have time to go to San Francisco, we decided on the next best thing, but this time it wasn't Hooters. There's this mountain in Palm Springs that has a cable car that takes you up to the top, and the view is supposed to be spectacular. Neither Dad nor I had ever been there, but one of his friends said that it was worth the price of a ticket.
My Dad seemed excited at the opportunity to scale this mountain in a once in a lifetime experience. He stood relaxed before taking the ride that would forevermore change the way he looked upon valleys below.
The coolest thing about this cable car that scaled the mountain was that is was suspended by these huge towers, and every time that you passed the support beams, the car rocked. Everyone screamed, and it was all good.
These cable cars rotated, giving the passenger a 360-degree view of the mountain and the surrounding valley. It was a spectacle that I have never witnessed before that, and was truly glad that I had agreed to take this voyage. The ride up was spectacular, and I was quite afraid for my life. These cars had been built many years ago, and I was afraid that they would break at any moment, but since they don't build things like they use to, it wasn't a problem cause these things were built a long time ago. By the look on my face, I'm sure I was having a good time.
This one was big mountain, and the ride up took at least 10 minutes. But it allowed plenty of time to view the most excellent scenery. You could see almost all of California from up here, but I was fine with what I could see.
