The bar had all sorts of local beers and I had certainly tried my fair share of them on this trip so far, but I started to represent Wisconsin by drinking my kind of local and helped propell them to victory. We went back to the hotel and Jenny and I took a quick dip in the pool before it closed. When we got back to the room I cracked open one of Cedric's Pale Ales that I bought at the Gate House shop on the way out. That kind dog never steered me wrong during the Estate Tour so his beer could do no wrong. We then went to the TGI Friday's in the hotel and things got weird. Kind of happens when you mix all of us together. Me and Jenny alone are a pretty potent drink. Adding James and Melissa into the fray tops it off. Then when Mom tops it off, we are out of control and the cops get called. It's insane.

Our waiter gave me a little pink flower with my breakfast. I know I don't always have to spell it out for you, but knowing my history, you have already come to the conclusion that our waiter was a dude. But still I rocked that flower with pride. It was a good breakfast, but soon we had to leave this fine little town and go on with our lives. Asheville was really really good to us, but it was just the first stop on our trip.

Two days ago (March 26th), the Wisconsin Badgers beat the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament. Because of that, the Badgers advanced to the Elite 8 against the University of Arizona Wildcats. We had to represent for our home state even though we weren't there at the time. Mom stayed back at the hotel and we ventured out to a local bar to watch the game. There were a few other Badgers fans there and Wisconsin ended up winning 85-78, advancing to the Final Four. Hooray! On Wisconsin!
One thing that doesn't make sense is how much I love the water. You would think that a person of my size would be ashamed of stripping down to limited clothing in a public place. But I've reached an age in my life where I'm done being embarrassed about taking my shirt off in public. If you have a problem, that's your problem. Thankfully I was alone this morning, so it was just my problem. After my morning swim, I took a walk outside. It may be early, but it was so nice outside. At least for a Wisconsin boy like me.

When I was in Las Vegas for the 7th World Series of Beer Pong, I t0ld this random guy that I liked his "Honey Badger Don't Care" t-shirt. I mentioned that I liked it and he literally gave me the shirt off his back. This (and a Kool-Aid shirt I made for Halloween) is the only red I own. I knew that we would be watching the Badgers game while we were down here, so I made sure to pack this beast. This will be the only time (aside from every few years at Halloween when I repeat the costume) that you will see me wear red. But it worked! Let's Go Badgers! Let's Go!

We checked out of the hotel and decided to grab some brunch in downtown Asheville before heading back to Columbia, SC. We parked in this random lot and it was charming because you just put dollar bills or coins into the slot your car is. I don't know how often the guy comes by and checks, so this thing is totally on the honor system. You won't find that in the big city. We walked around for a bit and then settled on the Tupelo Honey Cafe. It was really crowded and we had to wait about a half hour for a table. I went and sat outside in this little park because it was so beautiful out. I could get used to a place that doesn't have Winter. I got an Eggs Betty which got me singing "Black Betty" but like Neil Diamond. I continued that style in the one-seater bathroom when I did "Somewhere Out There" but like Neil Diamond and didn't realize there was an audience. So it goes. This kind of thing is relatively normal in my day-to-day life.
