The only regret that I have about visiting the Biltmore Estate is that we went in March and not later in Spring (like the end of April or early May). There were some flowers blooming and the grass was green, but I could only imagine what this would look like when everything was in full bloom. Judging from how beautiful it looked right now, I'm sure that this would be a grand spectacle that would even satiate Mrs. Edith Vanderbilt.

After we exited the house I shot straight to the bathroom outside. They don't let commoners evacuate their bodily fluids in one of the 43 bathrooms within the house. Seriously?!? 43 bathrooms and I can't use one of them? Even if I feel the need to go #2 and stick up the place, THERE'S STILL 42 OTHER BATHROOMS TO CHOOSE FROM! That's one of those rules that I can't get behind. But enough about that. While I was "otherwise occupied", Mom and Jenny explored the grounds and checked out some of the scenery. I can't get into details about what they did (aside from what you can see in the pictures), so don't ask. But it looks like a good time.

I can't even imagine the planning and design that went into every detail of this joint. I've never had enough money and free time to sit around and think up something this majestic. Who does this kind of thing?!? Rich people I guess. I thought that they were too busy attending soirées and swimming in a vault containing all of their money. But I guess that is just in the afternoons and evenings. That leaves the whole morning to sit around planning outrageous things to do with their money - like building a giant house with lavish decor on the inside and out. This house is amazing. Mr. Biltmore spared no expense as there were dudes and monsters everywhere.
