California 2K3 - Day 3 (Page 3)
I'll just talk about the next 4 pictures in this one paragraph, because they are all relatively similar. The sun had begun to set, and the day was drawing to a close. Evening was rolling in like the stones, and we were giving the greatest spectacle since " " (fill in the blank, any simple metaphor will do ) I truly enjoy this time of day, especially at the beach, because all of the colors are so vibrant and real. I could've stood out there all day, but I only stood there until the sun was gone. I enjoyed every wonderful second of it.
Tim was playing in the sand, tracing things into it before the waves came to wash it away. He stayed long enough for the picture, then left before the water could get him. I place this picture in the same category as the one with the sun behind his head - someday there will be a use for this picture.
Once again, I tried to copy Tim, but didn't look as good while doing it. In this picture, I look like I am praying, which isn't a bad thing, but I was going for a more symbolic pose like the one Tim is doing. I guess I will always be playing second guitar to Tim.
Tim and I strolled down the beach (Craig went to put more coins in the parking meter) and enjoyed each other's company. We laughed and sang, and talked of memories past. We passed by a happy couple enjoying an intimate walk on the beach, and asked them to take our picture. They were more than willing to oblige. It was at that moment that me and Tim were like peas and carrots again. (Author's note - Tim and I are brothers and bandmates, so don't be getting any wrong ideas...)
Every now and then, I am in a situation where I witness something that would make a spectacular picture. It doesn't happen that often, but when it does, the picture is simply breathtaking. I have favorites, and this picture has just joined the ranks in my picture "greatest hits" album. A picture I took at the Grand Canyon (before I had my digital camera, which is why it is not available here) sits on top of my computer. This picture is of that caliber, and may someday join it at my workstation.
