California 2K3 - Day 3 (Page 1)
We needed a place to watch the Packer game (Craig is a huge fan of the Packers, and so are many other Californians, as I soon found out) but bars kinda suck. So we only had one option - the Hooters at Newport Beach. Craig had to twist my arm to get me there, and I eventually succumbed to his wishes. Tim just came along for the ride. We had a great time at Hooters, and were treated with phenomenal service by our waitress Samm. We racked up quite a bill, and ate our fair share of wings, and even got to witness a Packers victory. And then the real fun started when we walked down towards the Ocean.
It was nearly sunset, so we went down to the beach to catch the final glimpses of daylight. Tim decided to play Chicken with the waves, but ended up loosing. He then got even by giving me the opportunity to photograph this old lady looking for booty on the beach. Maybe she can hook up with the old man that I ran into last time. After all, they do have something in common.
Tim and Craig demonstrated where they would hold the Presidential acceptance ceremony when they run together (which will most likely never happen, for there is an age minimum, and it will be long while until Tim is of age to run for President.) Anyway, they stood in the sand and reached an accord the would allow all future generations to enjoy this plot of land in the best way possible. The handshake between them sealed the deal, and history was made that day thanks to Tim and Craig.
Since everyone else was up on the beach, the most logical place for me to be was in the water. I don't know why I must always do the opposite of everyone else, it just kind of happens that way. So with Tim perched safely on the shore, I stood in the Pacific Ocean and had myself a grand ol' time.
