Uncle Gary took us out to goof around for a while. He first took us to Fry's (the coolest electronics store in the world. If you've never heard me rave about it, then you are lucky, because I will go crazy talking about that joint) then we went to a music store. We were there for quite a while, and I played some guitar. When we left, Tim had a brand new $500 amp. He was financed through the Uncle Gary Credit Union, which allows unemployed teenagers (like Tim) to make payments whenever they could.

When we got home that night, Tim and Uncle Gary and I played a little bit of music. I did my best (seeing as I wasn't that good on guitar), and I did well. We played such crowd pleasers as Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here", Tom Petty's "Mary Jane's Last Dance", and Billy Joel's "Piano Man". Each song allowed each of us to showcase our talents on guitar, piano, or harmonica. It turned out quite well, and we effortlessly rocked the house down like a landslide.

Tim took the time while the salesman puttzed around to try out new guitars that he wouldn't be able to afford until he got a job, which by the looks of it, will be a long time off.

And a group shot of the Tim Reck California Band, playing "Wish You Were Here" with Tim and I on guitar, and Uncle Gary on piano.

Well, that was a long and tiring day. These time zone things are tough to deal with. I'm glad that there are only four in the United Sates and not 237, because that would be unbearable, like riding the "It's a Small World" ride for the rest of your life. Talk about my own personal hell. We closed the night out doing what we always do out here, with a dip in the hot tub, and maybe even the cold pool if we are daring. I then proceeded to fall asleep in front of the TV, and Jenny decided to take a picture of me. How sweet.
