California 2K3 - Day 1 (Page 1)

We were all pretty tired out from the early morning flight (not to mention the countless church services that some of us attended and participated in), so a day of relaxation in the warm California sun was in order. Mom was content to sit with the Bailey, but Tim and I had other plans.

That didn't stop Timmy and I. We got out the pool skimmer and both eagerly stepped into the supporting role as "pool guy #1 and #2" and proceeded to vanquish the nastiness from the aquatic area. Why do you mull over my word choice? I just have Hollywood on the brain, it is just right down the block you know. (Well not really, more like an hour away, but in California, distances are nothing.)

We wanted to go swimming, and we wasted no time in doing so. There was only one problem - it was Winter, well at least to Californians. In Winter, the native people hardly use their swimming pools as intended, so a fair amount of Mother Nature's byproducts had landed in the pool.

Remember last year when they were trying to teach Bailey to swim? Let this webpage refresh your memory if you're having a hard time. I guess now she loves it. She especially loves the hot tub, and will sit in there even if she is all alone. She'll sit on the first step and just relax. That's one cool cat er... dog.

My Mom didn't need any of that swimming nonsense to keep her entertained, laying out in the sun was fine enough for her. I guess her job is like tough (but she loves it) and paying the bills sucks, and raising kids is difficult (ah c'mon, we're not that bad), so a nap in the sun was exactly what she needed.

But Tim and I get bored easily. Real easily. We get so bored that we take pictures of us being bored, then I put them on this website and write about them when I am bored of work (tee hee). These pictures show the difference between the way Tim and I think. The whole purpose was to look bored, and I sat reclined in the chair. Tim on the other hand, was upside down. Psychologically, what does that mean? Does it mean that Timmy's brains are like scrambled eggs like that 'this is your brain on drugs' commercial? I have no idea. But you can tell that I'm bored because I'm just gonna pull a Led Zeppelin and "Ramble On" 'till I'm "Over the Hills and Far Away" climbing the "Stairway to Heaven" "When the Levee Breaks." Woo. That's enough of that, because I'm much more of a "Simple Man" worrying that "Tuesday's Gone" looking for a "Free Bird." Ok, I'm seriously done now, because the members of Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd (living and deceased) will come after me and silence my incessant use of rock song titles as a way to express what I want to say.
