Brewers vs. Twins in MN 2010 - Game 3 |
And so I climbed to the top row of the upper left field grandstand and marveled at how far away I was. Now I don't often make it to the upper reaches of Miller Park, but I can't imagine that the view is this terrible. If not for some some unholy need to check out this park from every angle, I would not have been up here. I should have stayed in the bar. At least then I could see what was happening in the game. |
It was quite windy up here so I had to literally hold on to my hat during the excitement of the final inning. I wanted to be excited as I was exiting the stadium, and I know that I high fived a couple of Brewers fans, but it seemed kind of pointless after losing 2 of 3. |
Axford gave up a run in the 9th and the tying run was 90 feet away on 3rd base, but he was able to hold on for the save and the Brewers got a much needed win. Yeah they lost the series, but in the game of baseball you learn to take it one day at a time and enjoy the wins. |
Every roadtrip has the obligatory rest stop bathroom break. It's as American as apple pie. Or it's science. Everybody pees. Some people can just hold it longer. I'm one of those people. So I sat and waited outside of the car while my friends used went on the bathroom ride. |
My friends Lorge, Denise and Casey live in Milwaukee and I arranged to get a ride home with them because they had an extra seat in the car. After the game was over at met them at their car in the hotel parking structure and we began the 6 hour trip back home. |
It had been a very fun trip, and I'm glad that I got to see Mike and Katie's house up in Blackduck. I only wish that they didn't live so far away and that we could spend more time together. But then I suppose that I greatly appreciate the limited time that I do get to spend with them. I'm glad that everything worked out the way that it did and I look forward to taking another trip up to Blackduck in the future. Katie recently gave birth to their second child, a boy they named Mason, so I for sure need to meet the little guy and make a good impression on him like I did with Reese. See? I'm not that bad with children. You take away the drinking and the swearing and I'm just a big kid. A kid who loves the Brewers. |
