Even though I was higher than that asshole Benjamin Franklin's kite, the view was a little bit better from behind home plate. Better yet there was a bar up here. I didn't intend to drink today until I saw that they had my favorite beer - Jimmy Buffet's Landshark Lager. I figured that it was a sign to get all liquored up, even if I had to pay stadium prices. I hung out with a couple of old dudes and we chatted for a bit. I know that I only stuck around here for an inning, but if I didn't want to check out the rest of the park, I might have stayed here for the rest of the game.

Brewers vs. Twins in MN 2010 - Game 3

Since we spent the night at Shawn's house, Katie had to meet up with us to get Mike. We met up by the campus in the Dinkytown area, and I posed with downtown Minneapolis. He didn't even bother to smile. Then they drove me to the stadium so I could meet up with my friends. I was going to the game and they were going back home.

Brand new stadiums are awesome because they feature the latest technology. The video board high atop the grandstand in left field was state of the art, and you can see pretty boy Ryan Braun in all his SoCal materialistic glory. But what do I care. As long as he hits 30+ homeruns a year with 100+ RBIs I don't care how he looks or acts.

Kanz once called this place the muffin dome, and to be honest with you the place does not live up to the name. Now I only like blueberry muffins, but even the shittiest muffin is better than the Metrodome. Words cannot express how glad I am that the Twins have a new home. If I had to spend one more day in that dump I would loose my mind.

I did wish that I could stay down here for the entirety of the game, but to be honest with you I'd rather be in left field so that I could heckle Ryan Braun and ask him about his specials at his restaurant. Sadly I would be resigned to roaming through the park like a listless transient.

My friends Lorge and Denise (pictured) came up here with Casey and met Treichel, and all of them were at the game today. They had 4 seats on the field level in right field and I hung out with them until the game started. The game was sold out again, so I had standing room only.

I spent a couple of minutes looking up the history of this old school logo but I couldn't find anything. The Washington Senators moved to Minneapolis in 1961 and probably used this logo. Characters symbolizing the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul make a return to this stadium, tying back to their last outdoor venue Metropolitan Stadium.

When the game started I had to evacuate the right field seats that my friends were sitting in so I decided to go all the way to the upper level. There was plenty of standing room areas for seatless people like me, but I really didn't like the view from here. Just like the Terrace Level at Miller Park this Terrace Level makes you feel like you are a mile above the playing field. I only stood here for an inning, then I moved on.
