Brewers vs. Twins Games in Minnesota 2006

The weather was extremely pleasant on Sunday, so Mike took me to this quarry that has long since filled with water. He had been there multiple times, and was anxious to show me these cliffs. There were two cliffs perfect for safe jumping, and the first of which (circled) was a good 10-15 feet above the water's surface. It was a little terrifying, but it wasn't much different than jumping off of a high dive (similar to the one at Afterglow.) These pictures really don't do do it justice, but it was a hell of a good time. The only problem was that you had to swim back to the beach, which was around the bend to the left in the picture on the right. Since the cliffs were rocky, we had to walk with bare feet, which made the walk back to the cliffs very challenging. Much like sledding where you have to walk back up the hill, the trip downhill is totally worth the walk.

The challenging thing was finding a place for our stuff while we cliff jumped and swam around. We chose to hide it beneath the trees, which we figured would keep it safe because they was no one else around besides the squirrels that could steal our stuff. If we had been thinking ahead, we would have left our things in the car and worn sandals or water shoes, because that would have sped up our return trip from the beach to the cliffs. If you guessed that I was hinting at something, you're very right. Click the next button to see more of our adventure.
