Fresno and Aaron stand and cheer on the Klement's Racing Sausages. Each of them knew that there was a little something on the line in today's race. We each had thrown some money down on the race, with each of us choosing a different sausage. It was only a $1 bet per person, but a bet like this had bragging rights on the line. The winner would be able to smack talk for the rest of the game.
As you can see from the photo finish picture, the Bratwurst won the race. It's nice to have the inside line on these races, especially when I use them to my advantage. I knew ahead of time that the Bratwurst had the best chance to win because he hadn't won in over a week. They make it so the final season standings are equal for all sausages, so he was due for a win. Easiest $4 I ever made in my life.
Mike introduced us to the best kept secret at Miller Park - the children's concession stand behind center plate on the Terrace Level. At that stand they offer $1 hotdogs and $1.50 ice creams every single day of the year. Oops. I think that I just let the cat out of the bag and made the secret public. Mike and Chris didn't care and just danced their silly selves up to the Terrace Level.
They do have one catch at this seemingly impossible concession stand - all purchases must be made by a person with a child. Instead of forcing young adults like me to kidnap a nearby child for a few minutes, the employees at the stand simply ignore that rule. If it comes to a point where they are loosing too much money on this stand, I'll be pissed that I told everyone about it because my paradise will have been lost.
Check out these rockin' chocolate/vanilla swirl soft-serve that Mike and Chris are eating. Especially pay attention to the one that Chris is getting ready to consume. For $1.50 American, you can get some fake ice cream pilled high up in this Styrofoam bowl. Eat up my friends.
