When we got there Punxsutawney Phil and Phyllis were both sleeping. That didn't make for good pictures or video. But he must have known that Kevin and I are big fans of his so he woke up and came out of his home. And then he just stared at me. In an attempt to be funny, I tried to use a line from Groundhog Day but I messed it up. The line (said by Brian Doyle-Murray to the groundhog after the festivities are concluded and they are returning him back to his habitat) is, "I think he just smiled at me!" You think that I would have every quote memorized perfectly. Lord knows that I've seen the movie enough times.
